Grapnells lodge consists of two self-contained three-bedroom cottages, The Nest and The Wagtails, that can be rented separately or combined for larger groups.
This unique holiday destination boasts stunning country and coastal walks along the rivers Crouch and Roach estuaries. A haven for bird watchers, many birds can be spotted from the comfort of the living rooms, with many visitors all year round including Short-eared owls and our resident Barn Owls!
Within 600 meters of the Essex Marina where there are a number of services on offer including Wardroom Cafe Bar, Boat ferry to Burnham on Crouch, seal trips, and numerous chartered fishing trips.
The wider area includes pubs and restaurants such as The Shepherd and Dog in Stambridge (3 miles), Anchor Pub in Canewdon (3 miles) and the Paglesham favourites, The Punchbowl (4 miles) and Plough and Sail (5 miles)
